Life Happens
My group had family profile #3. The backgroud - Your family lives in not paid yet house in small town outside the large metropolitan area. Adult works full time at unionized refrigerator plant. Health insurance is not provided. Metropolitan bus is in service. Youngest child is autistic and requires constant supervision. After tax annual income $40,000.00 Cash Saving 1,000 Members of family- adult female, one child 3 years old, and 2 teenagers 13 and 17. During the bugeting process we did the ceepest ways for the family so they can still have money left over. I think the difficult decisons we had to make was the care for the autistic child and health care.

Group Dynamics
My closest friends have many personality's. I'm more of a information seeker and giver and also an opinion seeker and giver. My first friend is an Initiator/Contributor and a Evaluator/Critic. She is mainly the leader of the group. Friend 2 is a Energizer and a Recorder. She is mainly the talker. Friend 3 is a Gatekeeper/Expediter. She is the one who reasons. Friend 4 is Encourager, even though she wouldn't do something herself. Friend 5 is Observer/Commentator. She is the main person who's always there. There are some conflicts in my group over some darmatic things. Friend 1 is the one who is trying to help our group and friend 3 is helping by giving some advice to our group and also taking on as a Help Seeker. The different roles in my group of friends helps each of us. My friends take on different roles so there is always some one to go to with a certain problem.

The movie Mean Girls is what I think conflict theory is. The groups of people in the movie are in which society is viewed as composed groups that are competing for scarce resources. The groups are based on similar social aspects like money, power, and education. The group of plastics had a constant blance of power, even between each friendship but towards the end of the movie the change of friendships caused tension in the plastics. The tension in the plastics cause other people to have hurt feelings, resentment, and conflict. Conflict theory proves that cliques are everywhere and each group has their own standards with how society views them.

My learning style is being a creative learner. I like to use imagination which is one of my strongest tools. I'm more for learning the metaphorical reasoning and creative outlets. I like to see overall concepts first. I learn best on facts, data, details, and information. I also learn best on my feelings, emotions, and personal values. Some of the recommended learning styles that I have tried is reading the textbook before class, and retain group conversations. Some new techniques that I use is to memorize a teacher's speech.
